Vagis Samathrakis is a Professor at the Department of Accounting & Information Systems of the International Hellenic University.
He holds a DEA degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Montpellier I and a Ph.D. in Management of Agricultural Farms from the University of Montpellier I.
He has worked on topics such as the Agribusiness Management, the Competitiveness of Agricultural Food and Beverage Companies, the E-business in SMEs in the Food and Drinks, the Investigation of the Adoption of Information Technology on Farms and the Internet use by Businesses and Organizations in Rural Areas, the rural Development and the Agro-tourisme.
He has published in several academic journals his research work related to the adoption of Information and Communication Technologies in Greek Agriculture, the Competitiveness of Agricultural Food and Beverage Companies, the Adoption-Diffusion of Precision Agriculture in Greek Regions the E-Commerce of Agricultural Products, the Rural Development and the Agro-tourism.
He teaches the courses: Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Research Methodology.
